Moving With Pets



Moving with a pet presents some challenges. Obviously, you are not going to pack and box up your pet. So, there are some things to prepare for.


Travel :
  • If flying, contact the airlines for details : cost, weight limits, and restrictions
  • If driving, make sure your pet does not get car sick. Practice drives will help. Contact your vet if your pet gets carsick.
  • If you plan on an overnight stay, contact pet friendly hotels in advance. Not all hotels accept pets.
  • Make sure your pet has proper identification.
  • Make sure you get proper documentation from your vet about the overall health of your pet.
  • Do not feed your pet too much before travel.
  • Be sure to bring some pet toys with you.
